Robert Downey, Jr. has a lot of well wishes going into his new year.  The “Iron Man” star is making history with one of the biggest birthday cards ever.  While in Beijing last weekend for the premiere of his latest “Iron Man” movie, Downey was presented with a card featuring five-thousand-339 fan signatures.  It’s a new record, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.  Downey’s card has reportedly set a new high for the most contributions to a single greeting card.  The previous record belonged to the British firm Churchill Insurance, which was presented with a card featuring four-thousand-347 signatures last October.

Downey turned 48 on April 4th.  According to “Time,” the actor called his record-holding birthday card an unforgettable addition to his collection of “modern arts” upon receiving it.  He also thanked China for making him feel welcome.  “Iron Man 3” opens in U.S. theaters on May 3rd.
