Indy Parks Getting a Face-lift 

Basketball courts all across Indianapolis are getting a facelift.  Officials say over the next five-years, one-point-one-million-dollars will be spent to create new outdoor courts and renovate old ones.  Ground was broken on Tuesday for the Tamika Catchings Court on Vermont Street.

 

Police Investigating 3 Hotel Robberies

IMPD is trying to figure out if three hotel robberies Tuesday morning are connected.  Officials say the suspects in the first two robberies were described as wearing the same black baseball hat and blue work gloves with white stripes inside the palms.  Later, a valet at the Crowne Plaza told police he left his stand to park a car and when he came back, two men were driving and a safe was missing inside.

 

IndyCar Racing Team in Trouble

Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing is being sued for sexual and religious harassment.  Former mechanic Scotty Merryman says Crew Chief Anton Julian ridiculed him for his religious beliefs and subjected him to crude sexual taunts.  The lawsuit also claims The Team Manager failed to address the issues when they were brought to his attention.

 

Human Remains Found Could Connect to 1996 Case

Officials say Human remains were found at a farm in Montgomery County.

The remains were located during the execution of a search warrant. Officials were acting on information they had received concerning a Hamilton County homicide investigation from 1996. The information that was received was concerning a case in which an arrest and conviction was made without the recovery of a body. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

No names or case information will be released until identification of the remains can be made.

 

Two Indianapolis Banks Robbed

Two Indianapolis banks were hit by robbers yesterday morning.

The first robbery happened about 10:15 at the PNC Bank in the 7000 block of Graham Road on the city’s northeast side. Witnesses say an armed man in a ski mask jumped the counter and demanded money.

The man got away on foot.

The second robbery happened about 10:45 at the Key Bank inside the Kroger at Southern Plaza in the on the South Side. Police said a black man in a red hooded sweatshirt passed a note to a cashier before leaving the bank in a black vehicle. No one was harmed in either robbery.

 

Pacers Re-Tie Series in Game 4

The Pacers got back at The Heat last night when they won 99-92. The series is now tied with two games for both teams. Game 5 is Thursday in Miami.der
