In one of the biggest issues to hit Congress since 9-11, President Barack Obama has asked for Congressional authorization for American military force to be used against the Government of Syria.  United Nations inspectors and American and other nations’ intelligence has found evidence that the Syrian government order the use of a poison gas – sarin – to be used against Syrian citizens involved in that country’s brutal civil war.  Upwards of 1,400 people, many children, were killed.  World outrage has led to calls for the United States and other nations to intervene. President Barack Obama is considering the use of American warplanes and cruise missile strikes against the Syrian Dictator Bashar Assad and his government. Over the next week Congress will be debate this serious issue.  Congressman Andre Carson (D) and Congresswoman Susan Brooks (R) talked about the Syrian crisis and the issues involved on Afternoons with Amos.  The Congress is divided on the issues, with members of both parties for and against the President’s recommendation to act.  Hear Rep.
