IMPD is investigating a shooting in the parking lot of a far-west side daycare on Tuesday morning. One woman was shot in the lot of KinderCare near West 38th Street and Shore Drive in the mid-7 a.m. hour. The victim has been transported to I-U Methodist Hospital in unknown condition. The shooter has alluded police at this time and police are actively searching for him. KinderCare will close for the day according to media reports. If your child has already been dropped off, the school is asking that you come back to retrieve them. If you haven’t dropped off your child, the school is asking that you not bring them.
