Sex, drugs and violence seem to dominate the big screen these days. How can Christians get our stories told

and serve up clean, faith-based entertainment to the masses?

According to Christian Sony Pictures executive, DeVon Franklin, it requires both honest and great story-telling.

Christian Post reports on Franklin’s views as they were expressed during a panel discussion at the National

Religious Broadcasters’ International Christian Media Convention Monday.

“I absolutely believe that a lot of times, when it comes to faith-based content, we portray sometimes the ideal of

what we believe,” said Franklin, whose official title is senior vice president of Production for Columbia Tristar

Pictures, which is a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

“We all have gone through tragedy, we all have gone through trauma, some of us are in pain right now –

because life is not where we want it to be.”
