The saying goes, “A picture is worth 1000 words” and nine-year-old Krista Campbell’s is saying, “Mommy, please don’t go.”
The sad, teary photo shared by her Grammy-nominated solo artist mom, Erica Campbell, reveals the behind-the-scenes sacrifice that goes into the building of a successful music career.
“Leaving my baby is never easy,” wrote the “Little More Jesus” singer, who is in full-on promotion mode for her new album Help, set to drop Tuesday, March 25.
Though Mom’s sweet-faced mini me got to accompany her at the 56th GRAMMY Awards in California back in January, traveling with children in tow is not always possible.
Working singers and musicians who also happen to be parents often submit to a rigorous travel schedule that includes television tapings, magazine photo shoots, promotional performances and appearances.
“Mommy’s leaving but I’m always coming back!!!” wrote Campbell, who is also mom to son Warryn III and youngest daughter, Zaya.
