Downtown Indianapolis is the place to be Thursday if you like strawberries. The 49th annual Christ Church Cathedral Strawberry Festival starts at 9:00 a.m. on Monument Circle. More than 300 volunteers will roll up their sleeves to pitch in and serve up approximately six tons of strawberries and 18,000 homemade shortcakes. Proceeds from the sale of the tasty deserts go to local non-profit outreach groups. Monument Circle will be blocked off to traffic for this event. Entertainment begins at 10 a.m.
