House Democrats are ready to roll out their list of election-year plans their party leaders hope will strike a chord with women, young people and blue-collar voters. Those are target voter groups that they say historically don’t turn out to vote in big numbers in midterm elections. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi hopes the Democrats’ “100-Day Action Plan” will help achieve her goal of picking up 25 seats now held by Republicans. That would run against the current of midterm election history. A two-term President’s party usually loses seats during his sixth year in office.
