Academy Award winner Mo’nique made some strong claims in an article printed in The Hollywood Reporter’s Feb. 27 issue.
Mo’nique won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Precious back in 2010. Actors and actresses that are talented enough to win an Oscar normally receive more respect, opportunities, money, and so much more. But, that didn’t happen with Mo’nique. She writes in the article that Lee Daniels clued her in a few months ago that she had been “blackballed.” When she asked why, he told her, it’s because you didn’t play the game.
