It is confirmed that one of the most notorious X-men actors, Hugh Jackman, is slated to play this great man of
faith in a new Bible-based film titled Apostle Paul.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros. Pictures has greenlit the movie which Jackman, best known as Wolverine,
will produce, along with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck under their Pearl Street banner.
Paul, formerly Saul of Tarsus, was a Jew based in Rome, who once fiercely persecuted Christians. But after
encountering Jesus on his way to Damascus, he was knocked off his animal, blinded and converted.
Following his supernatural experience, Paul began preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
For Jackman, portraying the Apostle might not be too big of a stretch. He was raised by his father, a devout, born-
again Christian and as a boy, went to Billy Graham crusades in Australia. Personally, however, the Oscar Award-
nominated actor has taken a divergent path of faith.
