Spike Lee’s new short film titled, “The Greatest Catch Ever,” recently premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The half-hour film is about David Tyree’s game-saving play for the Giants against the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.
Lee said he was motivated to make the film when he heard the Patriots’ Tom Brady call a catch by Rob Gronkowski last season the best ever.
But, Lee definitely felt differently. So much so that he decided to make a film about it.
The short film will be shown on ESPN2 at 9:30 p.m., Monday, Apr. 27.
