Mail carriers will be out in force Saturday to collect food donations across the Indianapolis metro area and nationwide. It’s part of the National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive. You may have already received a specialty shopping bag with a post card in your mailbox requesting a donation for the drive. Regardless, if you’d like to share your blessings with someone else and help reduce hunger, you can put non-perishable food donations next to mail boxes that have Saturday pickup, including the one at your home. The food will be sorted and delivered to food pantries to be available for needy persons and families.
