It’s been 40 years since Stephanie Mills played Dorothy in the 1975 Broadway production of “The Wiz.” And, she just signed on to play Auntie Em in the NBC Musical “The Wiz,” according to a report by Entertainment Weekly.
The network hasn’t announced who will play Dorothy yet.
NBC announced back in March their decision to produce a live musical production of “The Wiz,” which follows “The Sound of Music” and “Peter Pan.”
The musical is set to air on December 3.
