Tina Campbell’s album release campaign got off to a bumpy start, but landed just fine—at No. 1 on Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart to be exact.

Now the “Destiny” singer is celebrating the accomplishment and thanking fans for their support.

Listing the knocks against the album, Campbell wrote on Instagram, “Out for 5 days, only on 1 digital outlet, missed release date.”

Campbell also pointed out that there was “no explanation & no real release date.”

Despite all that, she highlighted, after a “surprise post of its sudden release sparked fans, now It’s Personal is #1 in Gospel & #47 overall. Not so bad!”

The GRAMMY® Award-winning Mary Mary singer has gotten major support from some big names like media mogul Tyler Perry who encouraged his millions of online followers to support Campbell’s music and new book, I Need A Day To Pray.

Kirk Franklin also backed his longtime friend, writing on Twitter, “I believe n her, I believe n [sic] this ministry, & i believe these projects are worth your support,” adding the hashtag, “#ISupportTinaCampbell.”
