We’ve now learned that the Louisiana man who lost his life in a drowning accident Thursday on Morse Reservoir is a student athlete at the University of Indianapolis. Fox 59 is reporting that the drowning victim has been identified as UIndy basketball player, Dai-Jon Parker. Parker transferred to the university, located on Indy’s south side after playing ball for three years at Vanderbilt University. Officials say the 22-year-old Louisiana native fell into the water and never resurfaced. Dive crews searched for about two-hours before finding Parker’s body. It’s not yet known if alcohol played a factor.
