A Day With 'Sparkle' Producer T.D. Jakes

As some Christians panic over the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize gay marriage in every U.S. state, Bishop T.D. Jakes remains unbothered.

“I’m not really as concerned about this as a lot of people are,” said the 58-year-old Potter’s House Dallas pastor during Sunday service.

“I’m really not as concerned about it. I think that we should not lose our mind about the world being the world and the Church being the Church. This is not a news flash,” he said.

“The Supreme Court is there to make a decision based on constitutional rights and legalities that fit all Americans. They are not debating Scripture”—a remark the audience applauded.

“They’re just not debating Scripture,” he continued. “I guarantee you that they were not in there looking at Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians this [or that] and weighing it against the policies.”

Romans 1:27 condemns homosexuality as a vile, shameful act that goes against nature. 1 Corinthians 6:9 also says homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
