Dozens of family, friends and community members gathered Monday evening to remember the 15-year-old who was gunned down in a drive-by shooting on Wade Park Avenue over the weekend.

Tyler Sheron was shot multiple times in a parking lot near E. 92nd and Wade Park around 5 p.m. Sunday.

At a vigil to remember the Ginn Academy sophomore, Tyler’s mother Jacqueline Johnson begged for an end to the city’s gun violence.

“His brothers and sisters will never see him again. His family will never see him again. This ‘no-snitch code’ you all got going on, it needs to stop,” she sobbed. “Why? Why are you all doing this? My baby. He didn’t deserve this. He was only 15 years old.”
