Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington will soon have another award to add to his collection.

The 60-year-old has been named the 2016 recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award and will be honored at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards in January.

“Washington’s long and storied career is earmarked by his countless roles in front and behind the camera,” said Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Lorenzo Soria in a statement.

The DeMille Award was first handed out in 1952 at the 9th Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony. It is named after its recipient Cecil B. DeMille, director of The Ten Commandments.

The DeMille Award is bestowed upon those who have made an “incredible impact on the world of entertainment.”

The Golden Globe was one of the first major awards Washington won for Best Supporting Actor for his part in the 1989 American Civil War epic, Glory, for which he also won the Academy Award in the same category.
