Yvonne Anderson-Thomas, a 43 year-old from Idaho, was in shock after her husband of 20 years filed for divorce.  She hadn’t yet graduated from nursing school, and was doing all she could to make ends meet.

Yvonne decided to put her special talents to work by selling baked goods.  She quickly realized deserts may not be the answer to quick money, but selling an old family turkey leg recipe might do the trick.  She got a loan from a friend for a food truck, and before she knew it she was making money.

Her food truck is called “Brown Shuga” and she says she wants her food to remind people of Grandma’s Sunday dinners.  Yvonne now owns two food trucks, and has won a slew of awards.
