Music lovers and a caring community bid farewell over the weekend to Jazz great David Baker. Baker served as a distinguished professor of music and Jazz Studies Department chair emeritus at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. He died on March 26 at his home in Bloomington at the age of  84. People continue to pay their respects to the legendary Baker through memorial contributions to the David N. Baker Jazz Scholarship at the Jacobs School of Music, c/o: the Indiana University Foundation, P.O. Box 6460, Indianapolis, IN 46206-6460.
