There is no arguing that Serena Williams has dominated women’s tennis over the years.  After her third round French Open win against France’s Kristina Mladenovic, a camera captured a moment that proves the example of sportsmanship that Williams exhibits.

Williams and Mladenovic shook hands and congratulated one another on a well played match, after Williams took the match in two straight sets.  After Mladenovic left the court, she broke down in the locker room.  A camera caught Williams leaning over and hugging her opponent, who was clearly upset she lost her chance of winning her home country’s slam.

Williams continues to prove she is a class act.  Check out the photo of Williams consoling Mladenovic above, and read more on the story here.
