No matter how well-intentioned you are, at some point, you will offend someone. If, by chance, you

have hurt a person—even by accident—saying you’re sorry is important.

In a recent Instagram post, GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel singer Tasha Cobbs challenged

followers to be willing to acknowledge the pain they may have unwittingly inflicted upon someone

else.

Even if you don’t think you did wrong, Cobbs, 35, said, “Maybe how they see it is how it really

happened. Everyone tells the story through the lens of their experiences.”

Her words of wisdom were shared on the “Break Every Chain” singer’s social media page in graphic

form under the hashtag #ThoughtsFromTashasCouch.

Cobbs’ unique angle on the issue is reminiscent of a scripture found in James 3:2 NIV that says,

“We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep

their whole body in check.”

Because no one is perfect, no matter how hard they try, offending others is inevitable.

“Maybe, from what their life’s experiences have taught them, you were wrong; you did hurt them; it

was malicious,” Cobbs continued, attempting to help others see the issue from the offended

individual’s side.
