An updated version of President Donald Trump’s travel ban might be released as early as today. The Wall Street Journal reports the new executive order will exclude green card holders and was designed to be easier to defend in court. The president’s original travel ban, which spurred protests across the nation and in some places across the globe, has been put on hold after a federal appeals court upheld a Seattle judge’s suspension.

President Trump is naming Army General H.R. McMaster as his next national security adviser. The president made the announcement on Monday before returning to Washington after spending the holiday weekend at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida—which he calls ‘the Southern White House.’

McMaster replaces Michael Flynn, who was forced to resign last week after it was learned he discussed sanctions against Russia –on the same day as former-President Barack Obama was announcing them—with Russia’s ambassador. This occurred before Donald Trump was inaugurated.
