The CBLC (Center for Black Literature and Culture) will be opening October 21st THIS SATURDAY for the Indianapolis Public Library!

“The Indianapolis Public Library’s Center for Black Literature & Culture (CBLC) will be dedicated to celebrating the vibrant and resilient heritage and triumphs of those born of African roots. As an integral part of American and world history and culture, this space is for ALL who are interested in exploring the rich heritage that has influenced nations across the globe.

The CBLC will offer bold, larger-than-life images, interactive displays, books, events and more, highlighting black heroes who have and are transforming the world through their courage, talents, and activism.
