Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, Kids Fun Run

One of the 20 largest marathons in the country, Saturday’s race marks the 10th year for the scenic trip through landmarks and historical neighborhoods. Choose the length that best suits your running style, and don’t miss the Health & Fitness Expo with speakers like founder of RunSafer Todd Williams and Olympians Terry Brahm and Krista Duchene. Prairie Plates – 100 Mile Brunch with Ivy Tech at Conner Prairie

Celebrate the farm-to-table food and craft drink movements with a unique dining experience. Saturday, Chef Jeffery Alan Bricker and students from Ivy Tech will create a special reception using historic recipes followed by a gourmet brunch featuring ingredients obtained within 100 miles. The event in Prairietown is for ages 21 and older, and tickets are $60-$65.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial in Concert

Considered one of the greatest films ever made, E.T. is a timeless story of friendship and magic following a young boy’s quest to return a stranded alien to his home planet. Watch the movie Sunday at Hilbert Circle Theatre while the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra performs John Williams’ Academy Award-winning score live. Tickets are $28-$95. Bring your Reese’s Pieces!

Spirit & Place Festival – Power

Indy’s largest collaborative festival explores this year’s theme, power, through November 12 with a variety of performances, documentaries, exhibits, and more at venues around Indy. Participants use their ties to the arts, religion, and humanities to spark meaningful conversations with the hope of building community understanding. Many events are free of charge.
