Infantile Spasms Awareness Week (ISAW): December 1-7, 2017

“Each year, nearly 1,200 infants are diagnosed with infantile spasms (IS). This devastating neurological condition, if left untreated, can cause developmental delays in a child’s growing brain. But we are raising awareness in hopes of a brighter future.”

“Our mission is to provide therapeutic craft kits to every veteran who wants them.”
“Founded in 1971, Help Heal Veterans (HEAL VETS) has provided free therapeutic craft kits to hospitalized and homebound veterans for generations. Over that time, we’ve helped traumatized veterans improve their motor skills, while also developing better feelings of self-esteem and self-worth. Our kits help veterans take their minds out of the past and off their pain, letting them live more in the present.
HEAL VETS was organized after research and discussions with doctors, therapists and patients from various medical centers and military hospitals. Treatment centers and patients pay nothing for this generous service, made possible by thousands of caring contributors wanting to express their love and appreciation to America’s heroes.
Our Board of Directors is committed to helping as many hospitalized, recuperating or homebound military and veteran patients as possible through a variety of programs and services. Military and veterans’ families also benefit from HEAL VETS programs.”
