Pastor Jamal Bryant’s Empowerment Temple Church in Baltimore has rented out a theater to take black girls to see Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time on Sunday.
The Pastor Bryant shared the information on Instagram:
ALERT!!!….we’ve rented out entire theatre for Sunday to take black girls to see #wrinkleintime for FREE….if you want your daughter to go please email rbrown@empowermenttemple.org #blackgirlsrock
A Wrinkle In Time opens Friday everywhere, and stars 14 year old Storm Reid as Meg Murry.
Meg is a typical middle school student struggling with issues of self-worth who just wants to fit in. The daughter of two world-renowned physicists, she is intelligent and uniquely gifted, as is Meg’s younger brother, Charles Wallace, but she has yet to realize it for herself. Complicating matters is the mysterious disappearance of Mr. Murry, which has left Meg devastated and her mother broken-hearted.
