How to detect a stroke:
FAST
During a stroke:
Face – one side of your face may droop
Arm Weakness – One arm is weak or numb, tingling, or a lack of coordination. (Ask the person to raise both hands. One arm may drift down).
Speach – May have difficulty with speach. May be slurred or person may be unable to speak/undertand. (Ask them to repeat a sentence)
Time – Time is of Essence. This is a medical emergency. Do not wait and see if you or someone else is ok later. Act quicky and go to the emergency room.
