Today on Community Connection we had open lines on 3 different Pardon requests/situations.
Cyntoia Brown – allegedly killed a man who hired her for sex while she was being trafficked as a teenager. She is serving a life sentence and hopes to be pardoned.
Kwame Kilpatrick, the Former Mayor of Detroit – Kwame has asked President Trump to be pardoned. He has since then been denied, will be in prison for possibly 2 more decades. Kwame is convicted for over 24 felonies.
Keith Cooper – Was pardoned after he was found unguilty for a murder charge. He served 8 years in prison, and is filing a lawsuit against Elkart in northern Indiana. Keith says he was prosecuted with false evidence.
