Several IndyGo bus routes are undergoing updates that will go into effect on Sunday, February 14. The changes are being implemented as part of IndyGo’s regular assessment of service and to accommodate 2010 budget adjustments. These changes along with adjustments to non-revenue road service support routes will reduce operational expenses by approximately $500,000.

Service updates include:

• Routes 2, 11, 17, 37, 55: Schedule adjustments and fewer trips during peak periods

• Routes 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 24, 25, 31: Trip schedule adjustments

• Route 39: New time point at 38th and Keystone replaces time point at 38th & Sherman

• Green Line/ Airport Express: Stop added at Washington and West streets

The new stop for IndyGo’s Green Line/ Airport Express will serve four new downtown hotels, including the Fairfield Inn & Suites (open February 3), Courtyard (opening February 18) and Spring Hill (opening February 18) as well as the J.W. Marriott (opening February 2011).

The Green Line/ Airport Express delivers non-stop service from the Indianapolis International Airport to Downtown Indianapolis daily from 5am – 9pm. Frequency is every 20 minutes (estimated travel time is 15 minutes). The Green Line is available from Ground Transportation, located on the first floor of the parking garage. IndyGo’s Route 8 also serves the Indianapolis International Airport.
