Exclusive! It’s Back to Basics for the 2011 Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration. Black Expo announced this week major schedule changes are coming to the upcoming Summer Celebration, July 7 – 17, 2011. Virtually all Black Expo activities will be held in the newly expanded Indiana Convention Center.
This includes the Celebrity Basketball game and other teen activities that have been held in Conseco Fieldhouse the past couple of years. These events will be Saturday, July 16.
The other major change is the return of Expo’s Free American Legion Mall Concert to Friday evening. The free concert had been a sort of official kickoff to the weekend activities. Now it returns to an afterwork Friday event on July 15.
Also moving back to Friday will be Black Expo’s Corporate Luncheon which had been on that day of the week for many years. Also on Friday will be a revamped Elected and Appointed Officials Reception.
On Sunday, July 17, Conseco Fieldhouse will host a paid Black Expo concert. The first of its kind in two years.
