The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) and the Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC) is inviting residents of Indianapolis to come give public comment and feedback on the proposed sale by the City of the Indianapolis Water Company to Citizens Energy (Gas). There will be a public hearing this Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 6pm sharp at Crispus Attucks High School, 1140 Dr. King Street, just north of downtown.

Andrew Swinger of the OUCC appeared on Afternoons with Amos to explain Wednesday’s hearing and the process. Hear that interview above.

At the public hearing, persons attending can give sworn testimony and comments on their opinion on the sale.  Persons can also submit written comments or testimony. Written testimony can be sent to the OUCC in these ways. Deadline is January 12, 2011
