For the first time, Indianapolis’ African-American weekday television anchors came together on a very special Afternoons with Amos. Andrea Morehead (WTHR/Channel 13), Deanna Dewberry (WISH-TV/Channel 8) and Ericka Flye and Grace Trahan (WRTV/Channel 6) appeared in studio with Amos in a historic first time meeting.  Competitors, the four had never before been in the same place at the same time. The four accomplished broadcast journalists talked about their start in the business; who inspired them; their work; the importance of family and their Faith; and talked with listeners about television news. Deanna Dewberry, who has been suffering rom a recurrence of breat cancer, revealed that she is now cancer free! The four anchors were joined near the end of the interview by Fanchon Stinger (WXIN/Fox 59) who had been delayed by another commitment. In all the interview was a great start to Black History Month and our stations’ Way Black When efforts.  Listen to the interview and the fun above.
