Scores of community leaders volunteered in the cold and snow Saturday morning clearing sidewalks, driveways and parking lots of several IPS Schools.  Seen here are some of the many volunteers out at Shortridge Middle and High School. Others volunteered at IPS Schools 60 and 110. Volunteers included Center Township Trustee Eugene Akers, Marion County Auditor Billie Breaux, Marion County Recorder Julie Voohies, City-County Council Minority Leader Joanne Sanders, State Senator Jeanne Breaux, members of Laborers Union Local 120, Democratic candidate for mayor Melina Kennedy and Democratic City-County Council candidates Leroy Robinson, Zack Adamson, Vop Osili and more.  Marion County Superior Court Judges Grant Hawkins and Becky Pierson-Treacy also helped out as did scores of other Democratic Party workers and scores of other community volunteers.  It was a non-partisan effort to help get schools ready for their students on Monday morning.
