New York– Authorities reportedly are considering the possibility that an ex-cop is a suspect in a rash of unsolved murders of female prostitutes in Long Island New York.

Police believe that the killer is very knowledgeable of the police investigations and forensic tactics.
A report cited that the suspect made taunting calls to a victim’s sister, but police could not trace the call because he kept the call under 3 minutes.
“These kinds of investigations have to take slow steps; you don’t want to jump to conclusions,” Katherine Ramsland, a professor of forensic psychology at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa., and author of “The Human Predator: A Historical Chronicle of Serial Murder and Forensic Investigation,” told MyFoxNY.
