The state agency charged with building Lucas Oil Stadium and the expanded Indiana Convention Center told Afternoons with Amos listeners that they far exceeded their minority business utilization goals.  Governor Mitch Daniels and the Indiana Legislature set goals of 15% for minority-owned businesses and 5% for women-owned businesses for the Indiana Stadium and Convention Building Authority to achieve.  The Authority announced on Afternoons with Amos that they had exceeded those goals. Some $205 million was spent with minority businesses on the project. With $150 million going to certified minority-owned businesses and $53 million to certified women-owned businesses.

Minorities and women participation at the Stadium construction was 19.3% and 30% for the Con vention Center expansion.
