ESPN is reporting that the Indianapolis Colts will hire Ryan Grigson as the team’s new general manager.

Grigson is currently director of player personnel at the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Colts fired Bill and Chris Polian last week. Although Bill Polian used his first draft pick in Indy on Peyton Manning, failing to get adequate backup for the QB at some point over the next 13 years cost him and his son their jobs.

The moves come after the Colts went 2-14 for the season as Manning recovered from neck surgery.

According to ESPN, Grigson was in Indianapolis this week for an interview with the team.
