In the latest Friday live program from the community, for the first time ever, Afternoons with Amos broadcast live from an Indianapolis Township school, traveling to Greenbriar Elementary School in Washington Township. The program focused on education in the township, which has been integrated since the late 1960’s. Among the issues discussed; Washington Township’s International Baccalaureate program in all township schools; the state’s new IRead test for third graders; improving education at Greenbriar, a school current graded “F”: by the state and on academic probation.

Answering questions from Amos and taking listener calls were Washington Township Superintendent Dr. Nikki Woodson and Greenbriar’s new principal Mr. Faren D’Abell.  Amos also talked with two Greenbriar fifth graders, Asia and Eric about their school and their hopes for their future.
