In the battle for control of the United State Senate, Indiana has suddenly become ground zero. Democratic candidate Rep. Joe Donnelly is neck and neck with republican State Treasurer Richard Mourdock in the fight to win Sen. Richard Lugar’s seat. Donnelly has appeared on Afternoons with Amos seven times since he began his campaign last year. Mourdock has never appeared. Donnelly in his latest interview talked frankly about why he’s running and made the case why Hoosiers, especially African-Americans, should vote for him over his opponent on November 6th. The issues covered included bring jobs back to Indiana and America; being a democratic who puts Hoosiers and our community’s interests first, defining his support for President Barack Obama and answering listener questions openly and honestly.
