Well that didn’t take long.
New footage has surfaced of the new “American Idol” judges in action. Unfortunately, it was the wrong kind of action. TMZ got its hands on video of the “Idol” crew during auditions in Charlotte, and the video shows Nicki Minaj going off on Mariah Carey, before allegedly threatening “I’m gonna knock you out.”
The footage shows Minaj telling producers, “I told them, I’m not f*ckin’ putting up with her f*ckin’ highness over there.”
The TMZ report then states that show sources said Nicki later threatened to “knock out” Mariah, although that part wasn’t on the tape. (Poor Keith Urban who was seated between them.)
The cause of the fight? Apparently it was over a “disagreement about a contestant’s performance.”
In fact, MouthToEars.com reports that producers had to stop auditions for the day in order to let the two judges could cool down. The site quotes an inside source stating that “Nicki Minaj walked off of set because Mariah Carey kept making jabs at her. Nicki’s manager and team convinced her to come back to the show. Mariah kept at it and called Nicki a bitch and then proceeded to cuss her out. Producers had to stop filming and call it a night.”
