Indianapolis had PLENTY to say about the first debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney.  A record number of callers expressed their opinions on the debate on Afternoons with Amos.  All still maintained their extremely strong support for the President.  And there were many opinions on the resident’s performance in the debate, but all praised Mr. Obama’s cool, calm demeanor.  Listeners in the community were sharply critical of Mr. Romney calling him out on his inaccuracies and in many callers words “lies”.  Callers were angry about Mr. Romney inferring that the President was a “boy” when Romney compared his five sons, “boys” Mr. Romney called them, to the President.  others were angry at Romney’s surprise proposal to turn into a voucher program the Federal Title 1 Education program, which helps and benefits millions of low income and special students with special needs and learning problems.  hear the deluge of callers opinions and reaction from Amos.  And if you missed the first debate or want to watch key portions again, the full debate video is above.
