In his first State of the State Speech, Governor Mike Pence pushed hard for a 10% cut in the state income tax for all Hoosier taxpayers.  In a speech carried live on the major Indianapolis TV stations and other stations across the state, Gov. Pence not only pushed his tax cut plans but said he spend more on public schools, on more vouchers for parents to send their kids to private schools. Gov. Pence also pushed his plan to re-emphasize vocational education for Hoosier students that want that option.  Pence also talked about job creation and providing funds for the troubled Department of Child Services and much more.  On Afternoons with Amos, Chris Atkins, the Pence Administration’s Director of Management and Budget and Christy Denault, the Governor’s Communications Director talked more in depth about Gov. Pence’s plans and priorities.  Denault also talked about the Governor cutting out several minutes of his speech so it would fit in the tight TV window.  Click Above to See the Governor’s State of the Speech.
