Chicago has once again been named the best city in the U.S. for a slice of pizza. The Windy City’s signature deep dish won over “Travel + Leisure’s” annual survey respondents for a second time. Providence, Rhode Island is landing in the runner-up spot, followed by New York City and Philadelphia. Minneapolis-St. Paul also makes an appearance in the top ten, along with another Midwestern community — Kansas City. Savannah, Georgia and Nashville, Tennessee are on the list as well. The poll also finds that there’s an increasing interest in authentic Neapolitan-style pizza. Pizzas based on a city’s local specialty, like the brisket pizza in San Antonio, Texas and the lobster pizza in Boston are also growing in popularity.
