The City of Indianapolis has settled a Federal civil lawsuit brought by Brandon Johnson the Indianapolis teen beaten by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Officers three years ago.  The settlement was reached last week in a Federal Court nearly three years after Johnson was beaten severely around the face in an altercation with police that angered many in the city and brought civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton to Indianapolis.  The City will pay $150,000 to Johnson and his family who suffered financial and emotional hardship because of the case.  On Afternoons with Amos, Amos explained the settlement and read a statement from Brandon Johnson and his attorney.  Runs 3 Minutes. ©2013 WTLC/Radio One.
