Natalie Grant, five time GMA “Female Artist of the Year,” released her newest single, “Hurricane,” on Curb Records in anticipation of her next album coming this fall.

Launched on May 3, the single is the No. 1 “most added” song throughout Billboard and media charts, according to MorningStar PR.

“Hurricane” is Grant’s fastest rising single in her career, and within the first few hours of its release it reached No. 1 on the Top Christian Songs Chart on iTunes.

Natalie performed the song at the K-LOVE fan awards this past weekend at the Ryman Auditorium in Tennessee, where she was nominated for “Female Artist of the Year.”

“It’s been awhile since I’ve put out new music, and I couldn’t be more excited for my new song “Hurricane” to be released. I pray it’ll be a reminder that no matter how rough the situation, we are never alone. There’s Hope in every storm,” she said in a release.

According to a press release, Grant has the highest connectivity ratio with her fans on Facebook and Twitter among Christian artists played on the radio.

She has 285,000 Likes on Facebook and 163,000 Followers on Twitter.

Grant became one of the top Christian artists after her 2005 release, Awaken. The album was certified Gold and she won four straight “Female Artists of the Year” from 2006-2009, and another win in 2012.

She is one of the most successful crossover Christian artists in the mainstream as well.

Aside from creating music, Grant is a big advocate for the victims of human trafficking. In 2005, she founded Abolition International, an organization that provides aftercare for victims.

“Hurricane” is available on iTunes.
