Something special come to IMPD Officers today from WIXN Fox 59, IMPD get’s a gift to lives, “The kits include a tourniquet, scissors that can cut through metal and the tools to treat a gunshot wound.”
“It we’re on an incident and it’s an active shooter and still going on, they’re not going to send the EMS in until it’s safe, so we may be there with a citizen or an injured officer and we have no other first aid care other than what we have with us,” said Officer Phil Smiley. “So to have these right there with you, is just unbelievable.”
