It was truly a Function at the Junction as scores of elected officials, business and civic leaders, pastors and grassroots folks gathered for Afternoons with Amos’ 8th annual “no-host” Luncheon to benefit the Mozel Sanders Thanksgiving Effort.  Held at the Outback Steakhouse on W 86th Street in Pike Township, this special Afternoons with Amos broadcast not only helped raise some $3,400 for the Mozel Thanksgiving Effort, but brought the community together – Black; White; Democrats; Republicans and more in fellowship and conversation.  During the live broadcast a number of community issues were discussed including the on going struggle between the Indiana State Board of Education and Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz.  There was also talk of next year’s elections with a score of political leaders.  Enjoy our Photo Gallery of some of those attending this special event.  And enjoy listening to the conversation with those attending the event and Afternoons with Amos Listeners.  See the Photo Gallery Above.  Click the Arrows To Hear Amos and his guests and callers ©2013 WTLC/Radio One.
