The rough winter weather, with instances of water pipes bursting homes and apartments and raised the issue of the importance of insurance. Both for homeowners and but especially for renters. The issue of insurance, wen should one get insurance for their home and other critical questions about insurance were answered during a special extended Afternoons with Amos interview with the “Good Neighbors” from State Farm Insurance. In a special program from Harry & Izzy’s downtown restaurant, several agents with State Farm answered listeners questions and concerns about insurance. Harry & Izzy’s was the location of a State Farm Customer Lunch where policyholders received a free lunch from State Farm. Amos talked with State Farm Team Leader, Multicultural Marketing, Tracie Haywood about State Farm’s commitment to community engagement and involvement. Tracie also talked with listeners about career opportunities at State Farm. Noting that State Farm agents are independent businesspeople. And that the insurance business is a great opportunity to develop and grow Black-owned businesses. Later, Amos talked with State Farm Agents Ross Whitfield, Lamont Perry and Rahvy Murray about their careers as State Farm agents. The three also answered listeners insurance questions.
