Ever since Citizens Gas the bought the Indianapolis Water Company, consumers have complained loudly about those combined water and gas bills.  Now the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) has announced that they WILL investigate Citizens Energy Group’s billing practices and procedures.  In a 35 page order, the IURC expressed concern that Citizens Energy “customer payments are being prorated for various utility and non-utility charges in violation of IURC policies and rules. The IURC also said that recent meetings and correspondence with Citizens “have raised concerns with the manner in which Citizens is billing customers of its gas, water and wastewater utilities and with Citizens’ compliance with approved rules, regulations and tariffs”.  This is a developing story with more to be reported on Afternoons with Amos.  Click the Link To Read the IURC’s order on Citizens Energy.
