How’s the economy really affecting Hoosiers and when the governor touts the story, is he telling the truth? A new report does not support Governor Mike Pence’s claim that Indiana is the strongest it’s ever been. Pence calls the state the “fiscal envy of the country.” However, the Indiana Institute for Working Families says the reality is–more people in the state live in poverty than EVER before. A study by the group says that’s 16 percent of the state’s population which is up 20 percent since the year 2007.
